Wearing the school uniform is compulsory for all students on the school premises and during educational outings (including for sport and winter clothing). An exception may be made for sportswear (see section below).

If the uniform rules are not respected, parents will always be informed by the student life (vie scolaire) team. In the event of repeated breaches, the student may be subject to disciplinary measures or sanctions (verbal warning, written note, formal written warning, etc.). Parents may also be asked to bring the appropriate uniform to school.

Hats, caps and sunglasses are not permitted during lessons.

Failure to observe this rule will result in these items being confiscated; they will be returned to parents.

Below are the items that make up the LFI uniform:

  • Nursery and Reception (Maternelle)
  • Primary (Élémentaire)
  • Secondary

But why a uniform?

  1. Equality: the uniform ensures that all students dress in the same way, eliminating arguments, teasing and discrimination related to clothing. Whether someone is wearing last season’s jacket or an outdated garment, equality prevails.
  2. Sense of belonging: the uniform strengthens the bond between students and their school. Belonging to a community through clothing, crests and colours inspires pride and prestige.
  3. Practicality: the uniform makes daily life easier: no need to think about what to wear each morning! For parents, the uniform is convenient. They do not have to worry about buying other kinds of clothing for school, and younger brothers and sisters can inherit their older siblings’ uniforms.

Of course, it is hard to personalise a uniform! Let us remember that our individuality lies above all in our authenticity and our ability to express who we are, regardless of the clothes we wear. 🌟👚👖

So, even if we sometimes dream of bolder outfits, let us remember that our uniform is a symbol of our collective identity and of our pride in belonging to the LFI family. Together, we form a strong and supportive community.

Please make sure to book an appointment before visiting the store, and to place your orders before 31 June 2024.
